SOUTH PACIFIC: Coastal Village - Screenshots for visiting the valley (by Nicky)

If you want to visit the valley with the small pool and spikes down by the waterfall (not accessed in any other way), this is your chance to do so. Since there is no way on getting back up once you go down and there is nothing to pick up there, you may want to save your game and go down to explore this area for fun. Then load your game again and go on with the rest of the level.

On the ledge with the Crystal, after you have collected it, back up as much as you can, then sidestep as far to the right as possible. Angle Lara a little to the left and start running.

At the edge, jump to the left towards what seems to be a black empty space, but in reality it is an invisible row of rocks. Whilst in the air, press the left direction arrow to help Lara land on the correct spot. Releasing forward before pressing left may also prove effective. If you do it right, Lara will land on a slope losing much of her health and slide down to an even ledge. One more hop down will lead her to the valley.

This screenshot shows the same jump, but from the bottom of the valley. Now you can explore the area a bit. If you want to visit the pool, keep in mind that if you run through the spikes you will die, so walk carefully in that area. After you are done with this, load your game and go on with the level.
